Draft evaluation rules and regulations

The NFL Combine is here, everyone's excited cause this is where the best of the best get graded thoroughly and they rise or fall to their true and final ranking overall. Afterwards, it's up to the player at his Pro Day to impress scouts one way or the other. Here are a few rules I follow when figuring out who is a good player to draft:

1. The Combine does very little for your draft status! It is all a show for self promotion, coaches and GM's included! A bunch of men running around in spandex doing a lot of "Football gymnastics" and all they are doing is talking and lifting. What they're really doing is searching for the teams next top model!

2. Beware of the system players, the major schools players always look good during Pro Days and combine drills. For example, Mark Sanchez was looking like the one, until the Jets got rid of all his weapons and the "butt fumble."

3. Who a team is jocking today will not be the same guy come draft day.

So be sure to remember certain players names because those will be the ones you remember the 2nd day of the draft after day 1 excitement has worn off.
