Looking through most of the pundits lists of prospects (Kiper, McShay, Rang, etc.), you notice that none of the big three quarterbacks are in any top 5 list. The general top 5 seems to be Clowney, Robinson, Matthews, Mack, and Watkins. However, in most mock drafts, at least two quarterbacks are taken.
The best that we can hope is that all three quarterbacks go in the top 4 picks. This is quite possible with Houston, Jacksonville, and Cleveland all in the market for a qb. Even if Clowney were off the board, that would leave 4 quality players to choose from, all that fill some sort of need (RT, pass rusher, #1 receiver).
With this in mind, we could potentially trade back a couple spots if someone were willing to move up. I realize that trading down isn't as easy as everyone makes it out to be. But even if it doesn't work out, at worst- we still get our pick of an instant impact player. At best - we trade back a couple spots, pick up an extra pick or two, and still get one of the top 5 guys.
The big question though is if we have a chance at Clowney at #5, do we A.) Take him immediately, B.) Listen to offers C.) Sell, Sell, Sell ?
