After seeing Mcfadden sign for such a low amount, it got me thinking as to who else we might be willing to take a risk/reward approach with.
My selection: Danario Alexander. He's always hurt and it doesn't help that wide receivers aren't exactly raking in the cash in free agency. However, if we offered a very low base / incentive heavy (and by heavy, I mean over 50% of his contract, not the total amount being a lot) with no guaranteed money, we could potentially sneak away with a prize.
When healthy, he's a very good receiver (not great, but very good). At this point though, I doubt most teams would bother with him until they find out if he'll be able to bounce back with his knee. With him so far down on the list of potential free agent receivers, we could probably get away with throwing a low number out to him to help him potentially revitalize his career. Plus...he's got to be better than Criner.
What do you all think? Any you see as flying way under the radar that could help us?
