Thinking about Ian Rapaport's twitter comment about Oakland being the most realistic player for Desean Jackson. Kind of chewed on this last night and made some mental notes for dialogue with my favorite Raiders Football site:
With a Desean Jackson trade as it was reported - what are we giving up? Is this where a Denaious Moore gets swapped? TP? I was thinking about how the Eagles would be at least getting something and we would be getting a marquee talent and,,,,um,,,,headache?
Second, with this kind of generational talent we immediately have a type of player who not only has to be completely schemed for by AFC West coordinators, but takes our punt return team to a new level. Do we do a one year deal? How do we take on such a large contract - who has to go? Breisel? One of the linebackers?
I look at the possibilities of taking Matt Schaub's game up a notch as well. Jackson's speed is just not defended well if we use him right.
What a possibility - still, is he worth all the cost? His reputation as a Prima Donna is widely overblown - he wants to win and he knows he can make plays to make it happen. Still, taken wrong, this could mean trouble in the locker room.
