I know leading up to the draft there's always a lot of posturing and smoke screens, but what could be the motive behind the Raiders making so much noise about Lewan. I keep reading about how the Raiders have him as the top offensive tackle in the draft and not robinson or Matthews. Is it posturing? if so, what could be gained from it? He's a player that would definitely be available at #5 so it's not like anyone would trade up to get him before us, there's only 2 reasons as far as I see it. We really believe that Lewan is the best OT prospect and assuming out the draft breaks, we'd select him over Robinson and Matthews. Or, we're really interested in Lewan but we want teams to know we'd be willing to trade down as long as we were still able to get him. Meaning we take the BPA at #5 and some team really wants that guy and calls us when they're on the clock to say "hey, we'll take Lewan right now, swap with you and throw in a pick or two". What do you think Raider Nation? is the Lewan talk a smokescreen or should we start preparing for him to be our 1st round pick?
