After reading Scott Bair's article among other's, and studying the schedule for the upcoming year ,I have been curbing my expectations for this coming year:
Many of you know me as the most optimistic Raider fan on the planet - I can see the good in everyone and everything. True. But I am also a realist when it comes to the 2014 season. I WANT to believe like LWood and CWood have exclaimed, we are a playoff team. Based on the following reasons, I would consider 6 wins an outstanding season.
-We have toughest schedule of any team in the NFL - any team!
-We have no continuity in any one position group save for LB and the three amigos (Condo, King, Seabass)
-We have a new QB who has no game rhythm with his wide outs.
-We lack quality depth which if RM does not nail it in the draft could cause us to suffer late in games once again.
Yes, Raider Nation we have improved - on paper. Our starter, few could argue have been majorly upgraded. Yes, I look to the future and smile. Should we win more than 6 I will be ecstatic - I just do not see it given this brutal schedule and so many unknowns on this roster.
I am good to be wrong. What is your opinion? and based on what factors? Look forward to the dialogue.
