Apparently he's holding out in hopes of forcing a new long term contract, and there might be a growing sentiment in the organization to move him and his HUGE cap number in order to move up higher in the draft. Obviously the prime candidates are the Jaguars and Browns, both have the cap space to pull off a move like that, and moving down to pick #10 still gets you a quality starter in this draft. What if there's a surprise in the first 4 picks and one of the teams takes a QB and Watkins falls to us at #5, if the Lions really want Watkins and they offer us Suh and the #10 pick, is that the kind of move that we should pull off considering what it'll do to our cap space? He's an awesome talent, but it would take quite a contract to get him to resign, and it would take some serious contract adjustments to get him and our batch of rookies under this year's salary cap. What do you think?
