I normally do not care for mock drafts because we as fans only know players we have seen and perhaps, studied a great deal.
We do not have the objective tools professional scouts use to quantify and rank players based professional level equivalents.
I do however like to use mock draft simulators and any draft boards available to come up with what I call pure value drafts
I went on the FanSpeak site and used their simulator with OurLads big board.
Round 1 - Khalil Mack LB Buffalo
Round 2 - Timmy Jernigan DT Florida State
Round 3 - Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE Washington
Round 4 - AJ McCarron QB Alabama
Round 7 - Jeremy Gallon WR Michigan
Round 7 - George Uko DT Southern California
Round 7 - Preston Brown ILB Louiseville
These do not represent anything but a value pick at each slot on the board when they came up. I did my best not to duplicate positions here, Though when Will Sutton came up a value pick in the third - I almost took him just to agitate things. I loved when RM double on TE last year and people screamed why - then Ausberry went down and they all went - wow, good move Reggie!
You should all try this, this is a pretty interesting way to see what GM and coaches have to do with their jobs on the line.
