I can't figure out why...

I see all these Mock drafts having Sammy Watkins go 2/3/4. I honestly don't see how he gets drafted by any of these teams.

The Rams used I think the 8th pick in the draft last year on a smaller explosive receiver. Highly unlikely they double down here based on the fact that they just drafted a comparable player in last years first round, along with that fact that they need to improve their O-line.

Then you get to the Jags. What don't these guys need? These guys aren't gonna spend another high draft pick on a WR. They will most likely take Mack/Clowney/Manziel/Bortles here.

Cleveland has a huge glaring need at QB, and I don't think there is any chance they don't take a QB here. Lots of people will point to the fact that they have a pick later in the 1st round and say they will take one there, but that just isn't logical. These guys are gonna get first crack at the QB they want, and they're gonna take it. My guess is Manziel. Even if Manziel or any other QB is off the board, I still think they have to go QB, because it means they are less likely to have their guy fall to them.

So I'm telling y'all right now, Sammy Watkins will be available when the Raiders pick!!! With all this depth at receiver, why do people think these teams that really suck and who last thing they need is an explosive reciever to go with a non-existent quarterback, want to draft this guy? Do you really think the Jags would be smart to pair Watkins with Chad Henne? Or the Browns with Brian Hoyer? There is no way Jeff Fisher takes Watkins at 2, and there is no way these teams with those QB situations take Watkins. I admit NFL teams have taken stranger picks for stranger reasons, but I just don't see how a draft with extreme depth at the receiver position would lead people to believe that Watkins makes any sense to draft to any of these top 4 talent depleted teams. I don't even think Watkins makes any sense to the Raiders at 5 for the same exact reasons.

Since 2006, (8 drafts) only 2 WRs have been selected in the top 4 picks. Those guys are Calvin Johnson (pick 2, 2007) and A.J. Green (pick 4 , 2011).

Assuming I'm correct and Watkins is available at 5, I'm all about trading down to 9 with Buffalo who reportedly today is enamored with Watkins. Taking their 41 this year as well as a next year's first. (Wishful thinking) We just take whoever falls to us at 9 between Robinson/Matthews/Lewan/Donald. Same thing with Detroit, I''l take the 10, the 45 and a next years first. The three real value trade down targets that I can see falling are Matthews/Lewan/Donald.
