It has been quite the busy offseason for the Oakland Raiders, trying to get back to the glory days, and more importantly, "Just Win Baby!". They brought in veteran QB Matt Schaub to take over the starting job and mentor a younger QB that will likely be the future of the Raiders, however, is that QB REALLY worth the 5th pick overall?
No. Not in my opinion, especially not Carr. No offense to Carr, I like him but he is NOT worth the #5 pick overall. I would much rather take a Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans or Khalil Mack over Carr any day. According to multiple reports and sources, the Raiders are "Falling in love" With Carr at #5.
Rumor has it that the Browns are also interested in the former Fresno State Bulldog, they held a private workout with him the other day and he said things "Went great". So hopefully the Raiders are setting up a smokescreen to force the Browns to take Carr at #4 so they can take the dynamic WR Sammy Watkins, who was also rumored to be taken by the Browns with the 4th pick overall.
At least lets hope, because i'm not officially sold on any QB in this draft, let alone Carr. Now, if Carr's still there in the 2nd round, okay, i'll take that. But there's just so many other options with our #5 pick, plus we already have a starting QB, the future can come in the 2nd round, maybe even 3rd round. I'm just saying, in my opinion, we should worry about drafting weapons for our CURRENT QB rather than drafting a young QB so high in a draft as deep as this one.
