Everyone keeps saying "if such and such is gone when we pick at #5, should trade down, it's a deep draft", if the draft is so deep, why would any team be willing to trade up and lose their 2nd rounder? No one here wants to trade up and lose our 2nd for Clowney but people think other teams will do it for our #5 pick? Why? Outside of Clowney what other player is worth losing your 2nd round pick? We know it's none of the QB's. Mack? Why, when you can stay where you are and get Barr. Watkins? Why, when you can stay where you are and get Evans, Lee, or Cooks. Robinson or Matthews? Why, when you can stay where you are and get Lewin and Taylor. I just don't see why teams would trade up and lose their 2nd rounder if we wouldn't do it if we were in their position. Yet, we keep talking like trading down will be an available option. " Oh let's trade down twice and pick up two 2nd rounders", this isn't a game of Madden. Trading down isn't nearly as realistic an option as people are making it out to be.
