Johnny Manziel visiting Raiders

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The first reported visit to the Raiders by a draft prospect quarterback goes to Johnny Manziel, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

It's no secret the Raiders are looking to draft a quarterback in this years draft. They have had extensive interviews with several of the top quarterbacks in this year's class as well a attending all of their pro days. In fact, for Manziel's pro day, the entire trio of head coach Dennis Allen, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach, John Deflippo were at Manziel's pro day.

Apparently their experience at his pro day wasn't enough and so they are inviting him in for an extensive visit. Most likely he will meet with coaches and staff Sunday night and will go through drills Monday.

Manziel is considered by most to be a top five player in this draft and one of the top three quarterbacks along with Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Borles.

Last month a report came out that suggested perhaps the Raiders favored Fresno State quarterback, Derek Carr, to Manziel although Carr is considered by most to be a low first round or early second round prospect.
