I'll give it an "AAA" rating.
All those involved in the selection process - from Mark Davis, Reggie McKenzie to the regional scouts and staff who process the paperwork - covered all the areas of need as best as they could.
Sure, they didn't get a ranked WR and many fans will never be happy, but it is what it is and they went into the UDFA and have a lot of great upside with Grigsby, Davis and if healthy, Coles.
In all the interviews with the so-called "troubled" picks, they each came across as realizing their situation.
There aren't anymore mixer or frat parties, sleeping late or skipping classes; you're not the BMOC anymore so get off the high horse.
Like any business, the Raiders are paying them to show up, work hard, be diligent and become unique and successful parts of an organization with a great sports history.
If you have the talent develop it; if you have the smarts, get smarter.
Make the good better, the better best and the best can become great.
Of course, like any individual, in any walk of life, some will fall off the bus and screw it up for whatever personal reasons and we Raider fans have seen a lot of those in recent times. You feel sorry for them and shake your head in wonder, but we all move on. Always someone better to take their place, someone willing to bust it for the prize.
Bringing back the "Pride and Poise"; the "Commitment to Excellence".
To heck with the Broncos, Chargers and Chiefs...there is a new bunch on the horizon.
