S Will Hill was waived by the New York Giants today. He is just 24 and was the #2 safety overall as rated by Pro Football Focus last season with 60 solo tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 2 ints (1 pick six).
Yet he comes without a boatload of issues. This is the third time he's been suspended by the league per substance abuse. He faces a 6 game ban this season.
The question is do you think he is worth the risk? If he gets his head on straight, he would anchor our secondary for years to come. However, he could just turn out to be another Rolando McClain unable to put aside his demons to harness his very high potential. Both arguments are valid.
