Things got off on the wrong foot as usual for the Raiders this preseason. The Seahawks went right down the field to score a touchdown in four plays. The drive began with a 44-yard pass from Russell Wilson to Jermaine Kearse up the right sideline. After that it was all about Derek Carr.
The Raiders drove right back down the field on the next possession led by Carr with Latavius Murray grinding it out on the ground. They methodically moved 68 yards on 12 play finished off with a 5-yard touchdown run by Latavius Murray.
The Seahawks would fumble the ensuing kick return and on one play, Derek Carr would hit Denarius Moore for the 36-yard touchdown.
After the Raiders defense held to force a Seahawks three-and-out, the offense went back to work, but it was another short job. After a 44-yard punt return by TJ Carrie, the Raiders were once again in scoring position at the 36-yard line. And Once again, on one play the Raiders scored the touchdown. This time it was Mychal Rivera making a correction in midair off a ball tipped downfield to pull in the TD pass from Carr.
At that point it was 21-7. But Carr wasn't done.
This time, he showed he didn't need a short field. He drove the Raiders 61 yards for the touchdown. It was highlighted by a 27-yard connection between Carr and Mychal Rivera and finished off with a perfect pass to the sideline in the endzone where only Denarius Moore could get it to take the 28-7 lead.
The Raiders defense held again to force a punt. And Matt McGloin entered the game for Carr. And when the Seahawks came back out, it was Terrelle Pryor taking over for Tarvaris Jackson.
A couple drives in, McGloin would throw his first interception of this preseason. That ball was intended for Greg Little and the defender made a good play on the ball to tip it in the air where safety DeShawn Shead picked it off and returned it 55 yards for the score.
McGloin would recover, however, and he would drive the Raiders back down the field and finish it off with a touchdown pass to his favorite receiver, Brice Butler, to put the Raiders up 35-14.
Terrelle Pryor looked horrible for a while but managed to drive the Seahawks to a late touchdown to pull them to 35-21.
