If I was reggie what would I do with my 53. Would I continue to carry 3 QB's or go two for extra special teamer help. How many wideouts? We have been managed cautious for several years. Well rather we have managed to not be the absolute worst while knowing we also had no chance of being any good. But the deconstruction is over and the rebuilding begins.
I personally think it's time to rip away the scaffolding of the third QB, accept as a run first team that lines up more two wide receiver sets than just about everyone that carrying 6 wide receivers when you also carry multiple backs that in a pinch serve as a wideout. And start building for the future and competition.
Carr has really made this easy because he showed he's ready to start in the NFL. And I'm not foolish enough to think that doesn't mean some bad games to come. So here it is.
Offense: (24 places)
QB: Carr, McGloin
WR: Streater, Jones, Moore, Butler, Holmes (Sorry Little it was a coin flip and Holmes was here first). No true 1 here to develop carry 5 for extra special teamer DB development options).
RB: MJD, DMC, Murray, Stewart (Stewart gets a special teamer availability slot)
FB: Reece, Olawale
TE: Ausberry, Rivera, Leonhardt, (Waiver wire please with leonhardt to PS)
OL: Penn, Barnes, Watson, McCants, Howard, Jackson, Boothe, Wiz (With barnes Starting at RT and Gaaabe! at guard)
defense: (26)
DL: Tuck, Woodley, Wilson, Harris, Crawford, Jelly, Sims, McGee, Smith
LB: Mack, Moore, Roach, Burris, Maiava, Burnett
CB: Brown, Rogers, Chekwa, Jones, Carrie, McGill, Thorpe (Lots of decent sized talent that it would be nice to see longer and isn't eligible won't make a PS that also add's special teams value, plus our injury situation)
Safety: Woodson, Branch, Young, Ross
Special Teams: (3)
Condo, Seabass, King
