The Raiders made a move today to waive linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong. The team had signed Armstrong midway through last season after he had been waived by the St Louis Rams. He spent a total of 21 games with five starts for the Raiders over the past two seasons.
Just over two weeks since Ray Ray Armstrong was accused by Pittsburgh PD of barking at a police dog -- which is a felony. The charges have since been dropped.
Armstrong went from being the week one starter at linebacker to last week against the Lions not seeing a single snap on defense. He played exclusively on special teams which was where he had made his living while with the Rams until he was let go due to too many penalties.
This offseason the team raved about him as the replacement for the injured Sio Moore of whom the team would eventually trade to the Colts for a late round pick.
