Why the Raiders are Staying in Oakland

With all this talk of the team leaving the city of Oakland I beg to differ. This team left once and it will never leave again. There are a plethora of people working relentlessly to bring back the legendary tradition and mystique of the Oakland Raiders but there is one person in particular who is righting the ship.

That person is Reggie Mckenzie. Don't think so? Here's why. A general managers main objective is to put together the best team possible. When he first stepped into the throne we were a complete mess. The team had limited amount of draft picks ,no money towards the salary cap and contracts loaded with millions of dollars in dead money. Raider Nation knows all this info so here's what i've been thinking. Last year we had money to spend and all the critics can crush Reggie and say he spent the money poorly but guess what? He was looking toward the future for our team. Anyone notice that this year is probably one of the best years in free agency in a very long time. There are so many players in their prime its absolutely amazing. Ndamokong Suh, Julius Thomas, Greg Hardy, Randall Cobb, Devin McCourty, Rodney Hudson, Stefen Wisnewski and the list goes on people. Reggie had the hindsight to see that the third phase in his REBUILDING would be to dominate the draft and use veteran players as stopgaps to teach the younger players how to adjust to the league. Thats exactly what he did! Reggie absolutely nailed the 2014 draft and it drives me crazy to hear or read football analysis' berate the guy calling for his head and that he should be fired as the General Manager of the Oakland Raiders.

March 10, 2015 will mark the beginning of an organization making its transformation to dominance. I firmly believe the Raiders will sign Ndamokong Suh, Julius Thomas and Randle Cobb. They will sign a lot more players as well but my top three will be wearing silver in black. The product on the field will be so good that there is no way the city of Oakland will let this team walk. Things will get done and the city of Oakland shall rise again and be committed to excellence.
