For the second week, Raiders starting wide receive Amari Cooper’s status is up in the air. He has been cleared from the concussion protocol which he entered after taking a vicious hit two weeks ago by Broncos safety Darian Stewart, but remains sidelined with an ankle injury suffered on the same play.
There were reports this morning that he was running on the side before practice this morning, suggesting he may return to practice Thursday, but that’s far from definitive.

Once practice began, he didn’t even participate in warmups due to his ankle injury.
Others not practicing for the Raiders included Denico Autry (hand), Jon Feliciano (concussion), Cory James (knee), Jamize Olawale (ankle), and Cordarrelle Patterson (hip). The ‘Woodson Wednesday’ vets day off has expanded to include NaVorro Bowman, Bruce Irvin, Khalil Mack, and Reggie Nelson.
The Chiefs had several players miss practice today including Allen Bailey (knee), Dee Ford (back), Mitch Morse (foot), and Eric Murray (ankle).
