If Raiders coach Tom Cable can’t survive a triple-whammy of bad behavior, bad publicity and bad football – and it’s not looking that good for him right now -- Al Davis will be hunting for his sixth head coach in the last seven years.

Raiders coach Tom Cable addressed his team's injuries, the bye week, and of course, questions about his recent meeting with owner Al Davis when he met the media from team headquarters on Wednesday.

Comcast SportsNet's Brodie Brazil reports from Silver and Black headquarters in Alameda on Wednesday where Coach Tom Cable hopes the extra week of rest will benefit his team both physically and mentally.

No surprises at all here. The only area that the Raiders have the advantage at is secondary and d-line.

Nnamdi Asomugha is sick. Hopefully Jackson has a little luck against him.

I see no other way to view this but as good news for this football team. If you like Cable or not, I have to believe this will give a boost to the coach and trickle down to the players. There is still the possibility of a league suspension, but I think this is probably greatly minimized now as well.
