The Raiders do not at all seem poised to select a QB in the first or second round and, therefore, will miss the boat on Geno Smith. However, after watching this episode of QB Camp, my faith in the Raiders' ability to trade down in the draft to a team looking for a franchise QB has been restored. Gruden was highly impressed by two things about Geno in particular: 1.) Geno ran a no-huddle, very fast-paced offense that requires smarts and lots of preparation. 2) Geno clearly understands his own offense and can read defenses at the line. After watching this, I have a hunch that Geno will go in the top 3.
Veteran Leadership on DL officially retained.
"Remember -- the way I was raised in football, in Green Bay, was not as a big spender in free agency. I hope we continue to draft well, and I hope we can sign our own players, because that's the way I believe you win in this league. You draft, develop and sign your own players. Mark is on board with that, and what we have to do now and in the future, he's on board with and understands and he supports.''
These guys talked some raiders with Matt Miller from bleacher report. One of the hosts Mook is an avid raiders fan. http://smcradio.com/sports-syndicate-31813/

We need to get the Raider Nation together to vote to get some of the best plays of Raider and NFL history to the finals. Just like we voted our Raiders to the greatest team of all time we need to vote our plays up to the same status. As it stands now Troy Polamalu's diving tackle is beating the Holy Roller by 1,000 votes which is absurd.
Hey all. I've been doing a fantasy football blog for a few years now and during the off season, I concentrate on the draft. I attempt to do a comprehensive draft, team by team, on what I would do as the team's GM. Check out what I've done for your team and drop a comment or two on what you think and what you might do differently. Also, if any of you are interesting in becoming a contributor and creating some posts, please let me know in the comments and we'll see about getting you set up. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy it.
