Rumors

Rumor Mill: Raiders Interested in Jason Campbell

Ah, it's another rumor for today. It's like fielding a routine grounder and then tossing it across the diamond for the third out of the inning in a tie game late. Am I right, Kevin Kouzmanoff?

Anyway, the Washington Redskins acquired quarterback Donovan McNabb from the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday. You might have heard that one at some point last night. Well, that trade basically spelled the end for Jason Campbell at our nation's capital. According to the Washington Post, five teams are interested in Jason Campbell. Of course, our Oakland Raiders were among those teams mentioned.

Rumor Mill: Lions Want to Trade No. 2 Pick in NFL Draft

On baseball's opening day, I came across a story concerning the second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft that is currently held by the Detroit Lions. Rumors have been out there before, but there's nothing like a new report dealing with the same rumor.

The Lions have the second overall pick in this month's NFL Draft, but Gil Brandt of the NFL Network doesn't think they want to keep the selection.

Detroit could trade down to acquire at least one more pick in the draft.

Rumor Mill: 49ers QB Shaun Hill Given Permission to Seek a Trade

What? A Shaun Hill story on the front page? Well, it is March. Aside from it being championship week in college hoops, baseball starting up and the NBA about to enter its final month, what else is there to talk about? Anyway, the San Francisco 49ers have said to their former starting quarterback, Shaun Hill, that he can seek a trade according to a report. While he may get released, Hill may not want to sign with us at that point. With that said, should the Oakland Raiders explore trade possibilities?

Get the information after the jump and then cast a vote on the poll.

Rumor Mill: Wide Receiver Antonio Bryant Has Visits Lined Up

Last season, Oakland Raiders wide receivers were simply not a productive bunch. While not all of that falls onto their shoulders due to inept quarterback "play," we do need to upgrade at that position. Young guys like Chaz Schilens and Louis Murphy could use a veteran presence to sort of guide them along the way.

That leads me to Antonio Bryant, an eight-year veteran who has spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers and most recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hit the jump for the information and vote on the poll.

Rumor Mill: Raiders Interested in LaDainian Tomlinson

Even if it is "speculation" or what have you, this one still caught me by surprise a little bit. Beat writer Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune is speculating that the Oakland Raiders could be interesting in free agent running back LaDainian Tomlinson. Tomlinson, 31 when the season starts, just spend his first nine seasons with the San Diego Chargers after being drafted fifth overall in the 2001 NFL draft.

Would this be a good signing for the Silver and Black? Hit the jump and vote on the poll.

Rumor Mill: Anquan Boldin on the Trade Market

Anquan Boldin's days in Arizona appear to be numbered. [via rodonline.typepad.com]

Yes, I know that most rumors aren't true; however, this one seems pretty legitimate to me. According to Aaron Wilson, an insider for the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals general manager Rod Graves is listening to offers for wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Again, not all rumors are true and it's interesting to note that someone covering the Ravens has picked this up. The Ravens, though, are certainly interested in acquiring a big name wide receiver for young stud quarterback Joe Flacco. Also, we've definitely heard Boldin's name before in trade talks.

Hit the jump to see some details and then vote on the poll.
