Vick's Who Powered Through NFL Injury Report: 12-4-10

One of the  perks about SB Nation becoming a recognized part of the American Sports Landscape is that every week I get e-mails directly from the NFL.

This week, I have decided to post the entire injury report, so that all of you who play fantasy football, or watch other teams will have a one stop solution for the updates on Saturday Morning.

On the Oakland Raider front it is look like all hands will be on deck except for Chris Johnson and the Chargers will probably be without Vincent Jackson, Patrick Crayton or Louis Vazquez.

Vicks: Who Powered Through: Oakland Raiders - Pittsburgh Steeler Injury Update

I am liking this Vicks campaign because it is relevant to what we do, as writers, and what we, as fans want to know about.

With the "Who's starting at QB" question in the rear view mirror, the biggest thing on all of our minds is which injured players will be back this week?

Well, the good news is that Tom Cable was encouraged by Nnamdi Asomugha, John Henderson and Zach Miller in yesterday's practice. They were all limited, but, they were out there. I believe that they KNOW something special is going on this season and, especially, Nnamdi and Miller do not want to miss this game for the WORLD!!!

On another note, the mysterious 1-2 punch at wide receiver, Chaz Shilens and "Wayward"-Bey, did not participate.

As for the Steelers:

S Will Allen (concussion) is still on the sidelines and so are, DE Nick Eason (illness), DT Steve McLendon (illness), S Troy Polamalu (Achilles), DE Aaron Smith (triceps).

Those who were limited include: CB Crezdon Butler (quadriceps), DE Brett Keisel (hamstring), G Chris Kemoeatu (ankle), LB Lawrence Timmons (hip).

Hines Ward participated at full strength. I guess he has mysterious concussion healing powers!

The Steelers have some pretty serious setbacks on the defensive side of the ball. Although I fully expect, Troy Polamalu to be in there on Sunday, starting safety Will Allen is still out with a concussion.

There you have it. use this thread to update the news as it comes in and GO RAIDERS!!

Vick's Powering Through Series: Zach Miller Finally Sits

Every week there are multiple players in the NFL playing through serious and bothersome injuries. On a weekly basis, Oakland Raider Tight End, Zach Miller, has been one of those fighting through injury. In his three seasons he has only missed one game and this week, it looks like he will miss his second.

Miller is a hard nosed tight end who is coming into his own this season. He has 34 receptions for 461 yards and 4 TDs while playing through a painful arch injury. In a League with so many prima donas, it is refreshing to see a player who gives it all on every play, does what his coaches tell him do and plays through intense pain to lead his team to victory.

It is not OFFICIAL yet, but nobody expects Zach to play tomorrow. That is, everybody except for Zach. I would not be surprised to see him on the field for the biggest game of his young career and if he does play, know that he is putting it ALL on the line. That's an Ol' School Raider for ya!!!

Go Raiders!!!

Injuries Suck

Nnamdi is officially listed as doubtful. No surprise on that one, but what is a little surprising and equally a sucky is that Zach Miller is doubtful as well. Being listed as doubtful, you can essentially rule these guys out for Sunday. The others who have been out are still out. Grads is listed as probable, so I am assuming he'll be the backup.

The Chiefs have three players on their injury report and all are listed as questionable. G Ryan Lilja has been a full go in practice and Dexter McCluster got on the practice field for the first time on Fiday in a limited capacity.

One thing that has been a little understated in the midst of this Raiders resurgence is the fact that they have suffered through a rash of injuries and have been far more injured than any team they have played.
