IF Porter and Moss Stay and JaMarcus Russell is Drafted WE WIN!!!!

There is enough available in the runningback market to snag a good one in the second. I personally like Irons out of Auburn.

If Moss and Porter are happy with Kiffin's hiring and come out to play this year, JaMarcus Russell will be the happiest QB taken in the first round EVER!

He will have Jordan catching balls out of the backfield and Moss and Porter doing what Moss and Porter should have been doing for the last two years, TALLYING UP 1,000 Yards apiece and spreading the defense.

I still think that TE is a HUGE need for us and am hoping that we get Miller out of ASU in the 2nd, but, if it is a back or lineman I will be just as pleased.

Things are looking up Raider Nation. What were those Super Bowl odds again? 1-150?

I hope like hell they draft
a RB this year.  Did you read the article in the ARG about the conversations with Kiffin?  Sounds like he is getting a real grip on the teams needs, I liked what I read.  He is talking about moving the players on the offensive line around, I think they have moved too much already but apparently he saw some things that convinced him that players were out of position.  I agree with you about the need for a new tight end, doubt if the Arizona State tight end will be there in the 2nd.  I think I want the Raiders to draft Russell.  AS much as I would love Adrian Peterson, the truth is a runner has a good 6 year career, a QB is a 15 year deal, if not longer.

Could youplease clarify, I'd like to see what you read. Thanks

well
just thought I'd bring this up, Calvin Johnson 6'4", 239 lbs, and he ran a 4.35 at the combine, holy schmoly. If we keep moss and porter we should be good at the receiver position, but man, the possibilites with this guy.  Plus how many years do we have moss before he gets injured more often, or his salary becomes a serious cap issue.  4.35 at 239 pounds, just amazing.

Robert Meachum
... is 6'2" 214 lbs and turned in a 4.36 in the 40. And, he'll probably be available late in the second round. Of course, I agree with Saint that we should draft a running back with the second pick, except that I would prefer Michael Bush or possibly Tony Hunt (who's also a beast). But, if Meachum is around in the 3rd round, he'd probably be a solid choice.

Miller also didn't look that good. He is not even
in the same class as the TE from Miami.  He might be available in the 3rd round.

I didn't read about Miller
but if that is true you might be right about him dropping to the 3rd round, all I hope is that they select wisely, this draft is so important.

From CBS.Sportsline.com
1.  Zach Miller, TE, Arizona State: Not only did Olsen enjoy a spectacular workout at the Combine, Miller legitimately struggled. After running a disappointing 4.84 in the 40, Miller seemed to get down on himself and struggled in his route-running and receiving throughout the rest of his workout Saturday. Miller may have dropped out of the first round with his showing in Indy.

Watch as I deftly screw up your thread..........
Saint,
I love watching the draft develop, but the antithesis of the would be draftee has caught my attention.  What do you make of Lincoln Kennedy signing with the AFL?  Can a former Raider great borrow some thunder from a futer one?  Or, is this another example of the always tragic "one more shot"?
