Open Thread: Raiders vs Detroit

Let The Games BEGIN!!!

I only have a few seconds, as I'm sure you all know I have to run into the game quickly...

I am predicting a 27-17 Raiders victory.

My three quick things to look for:

  1. I am excited to see Lane Kiffin's entire offense. I wonder how he will run it.
  2. Will our DB's be able to cover the best group of receivers in the NFL. This game can be a HUGE statement for Fabe, Nnamdi and Stu.
When this game is over they will be known as a force to be reckoned with, or an Overrated group that benefited from teams running so much last year.

3) The offensive line HAS GOT TO BE ABLE to handle the Lions pass rush. It doesn't get much easier in the NFL than facing these cupcakes. :)

Can Someone tell me why is Stu still on
the damn field, every pass has been caught by the receiver guarded by Washington or Stu.

McCown is showing why he hasn't played
for two of the worst teams in the league.

Can we start
the "Fire Sea Bass" movement?

I hate that guy

As an A's fan, I can't wait for the new stadium
because they need it, as a Raider fan, it won't be soon enough as Seabass can't kick off the dirt.

Someone tell Sea Bass
to get drunk after the game.

Someone drop an anvil on that busted draft pick.

I am so tired of watching
the Raiders march minor league QB's into the starting lineup.  The final score suggests McCown did some things right, forget it, he will never, ever be a starting QB in this league so why are we giving him an opportunity?  We have a 31 year old former All Pro on the bench while we start McCown?
It is just ridiculous.

Wise up, Kiffen
Your nation wants your to start the best choice for quarterback.

Trust me, it ain't Mayor McCheese.

All of us in the nation knew that Culpepper gave us the best chance to win and win now. To have a chance against the Bronchitis, please start Culpepper!

Fumble
Even though the game may have been out of reach, it was still possible with just less than 2 minutes left to score a touchdown and 2 point conversion when McCown was sacked and fumbled.  Did anyone else think that his arm was going forward when he was hit.  I was 100% sure there would be a booth review and was upset that there wasn't.  They showed a replay on TV and I am almost certain it was an incomplete pass, but the announcers said nothing and there was no review so what do i know.

His arm was nowhere near going forward,
but Zach should have just fell on it.

You are right on both counts
McCown not even close to throwing it, and Miller made a major rookie mistake.
