On February 20th a coin flip will determine where the Oakland Raiders pick in the 2008 draft.
Being that the pick will be NO WORSE than fourth, the Raiders stand to pick from the remnants of Jake Long, Chris Long, Darren McFadden, Glen Dorsey and Sedrick Ellis.
Either one of those players will solidify the team (McFadden, Jake Long) or fill in an obvious hole (Chris Long, Glen Dorsey, Sedrick Ellis) with an elite player.
With the Dolphins releasing Trent Green, I can see them choosing Matt Ryan IF they cannot move the pick. They are already on record as trying to trade the pick.
If a team does move up, I'd expect it be for either Ryan or McFadden.
If McFadden or Ryan are taken in the #1 slot, that means that regardless of the coin flip, Chris Long, Sedrick Ellis OR Glen Dorsey will be in silver and black.
Now THAT is something to be excited about!!!
Ellis reminds me of a young Warren Sapp and will be a BEAST in this League.
Dorsey is a complete 4-3 D-Lineman. He plays most of the game in the opposition's backfield and he pursues from behind the play with the best of them.
Chris Long is a "Dream" pick for the Nation. Being the son of Howie, there would be no better fit in the NFL for Chris. Father and son could BOTH play their entire careers in the silver and black!!!
With our young franchise QB in the fold, Michael Bush being ready to bust out and a Top 4 pick, at worst, there is plenty to be excited about in the Nation!!!
