Oakland Raiders 2009 NFL Draft: SBN Will Be Going OFF For The Draft:

For those of you who do not know what SBN is, SBN, which stands for Sports Blog Nation, is the Mothership for Silver and Black Pride. There is a well established Blog for every NFL Team and we even have a Mocking the Draft site which will be ringing with heat this weekend.

For those of you who have NOT heard yet, our network has finally infiltrated behind the iron curtain, which is the NFL's Media Policy, and we will have two Bloggers with full press credentials at the Draft in New York. This means that we will have original content for our network and I am hoping to get a Q&A with whomever the Raiders select. Wouldn't that be nice?

I will be Blogging Live from The Warehouse in Oakland's Jack London Square along with about 50 of you guys and gals. If you missed it, here is the link.

For those of you who cannot make it down, we will have live threads open all day and continous updates through-out the day.

My thoughts, leading up to draft day have become a quagmire. I have felt 100% that if Michael Crabtree is available, then he MUST be the pick. But, every time I think about Brian Robiskie or Ramses Barden being available in the 2nd Round and the possibility or getting Eugene Monroe, Andre Smith, Michael Oher or BJ Raji to team up with them, it would be VERY difficult to take an injured wide out that soon.

Paying 7th Pick money to a LT that would be getting #2-3 money in most years is quite appealing to me, and protecting "The Franchise" and dominating on the ground should be the #1 priority of this team. Both of those get answered with one pick, a dominant LT.

Remember, Andre Smith was the consensus #1 pick in the draft before his off the field issues. Falling all the way to #7 may just light a fire under this All-World talent, ala Warren Sapp, when he fell and there is a reason why Alabama was 12-0 with him and fell apart without him. He is THAT good on the football field.

If all of my dreams came true on draft day and we didn't trade, my top 4 would look like this:

1) Andre Smith

2) Brian Robiskie

3) Chip Vaughn

4) Zack Follett

That would be 4 studs that would definitely make this team much better for years to come.

A Gambling Man's Draft May Look Like This:

1) Orapko

2) Duke Robinson

3) Ramses Barden

4) Chip Vaughn

Safe Bets Would Be On:

1) Oher

2) Robiskie

3) Vaughn

4) Kurbick
