Tulane's Andre Anderson was one of the top football student-athletes in the USA as the senior running back was named to the C-USA All-Academic Football Squad for the second straight year. The All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a starter or key reserve on their team.
He achieved this while majoring in computer science, becoming the first Tulane football student-athlete to receive Academic All-America first team honors since David Hebert in 1971. He was also selected to the ESPN The Magazine All-District VI first team. Anderson was also nominated for the Wuerffel Trophy, which is based on athletics, academics and community service.
Another squeaky-clean Raider who could pass even the most zealous Goodell inspection for moral turpitude.
