Last year the Oakland Raiders' defensive line completely dominated the AFC West. And I don't just mean they dominated compared to other defensive lines, I mean they dominated the division. The Raiders were a perfect 6-0 in division play, and the defensive line was the dominant group in each of those victories. AFC West teams couldn't run against the Raiders and the QBs had little time to throw.
So, it should come as no surprise that in ESPN's blogger voted list anking the AFC West defensive linemen that four Raiders were in the top eight. The Chargers were the only team to get two players in before the Raiders entire starting unit made an appearance.
Richard Seymour is first, Tommy Kelly third, Lamarr Houston, is fifth and Matt Shaughnessy is eighth.
Just to add to the sign of dominance the John Henderson (12th) and Trevor Scott (14th) are the first reserves to make the list.
