Saint Predicts: Nnamdi Asomugha Will Go To San Francisco A La Barry Zito

There is an effect that living in the Bay Area can have on a man. There is a sense of freedom out West and once you grow accustomed to it, it becomes very difficult to leave.

Barry Zito fooled Major League Baseball by signing with the SF Giants, when the Mets had mad money and endorsements on the table,  because he wanted to stay in the Bay and all roads point to Nnamdi Asomugha doing the same thing.

Nnamdi has spent his entire football career, since attending Call his Freshman year, in the Bay Area. He has built a foundation that caters to kids with great minds and simple means in the East Bay and if the Niners offer him the kind of contract that he is looking for, I think he will sign it.

With the imminent release of Nate Clements, the Forty Niners will clear over 13 million in cap space, Nnamdi is the perfect fit.

I know, this is sacrilege, but, I have to call it like I see it.

The good news is that the Niners are WAY more than just a shut down corner away from being good and IF they could learn anything about the Raiders for the last 8 seasons, having the highest paid CB take out 20% of the field is not worth it, then they would pass.

I love and respect Nnamdi, as a player and humanitarian, so I hope that he goes to a better situation in the NFC, of course, YOU HEAR ME TAMPA, but if he does sign with the Niners, I will hope that he has half the career of Barry Zito with his second team. ;)
