The Rookies Are At A Huge Disadvantage:

I want to make sure and remind everyone here that the rookies on this team are at a huge disadvantage this season because they lost the entire OTA schedule.

Coaches have had to try and get them up to NFL speed in technique and reads while seeing how they do against veteran competition.

Imagine being "Young Wiz" and having three practice and whiteboard sessions before strapping it up against Tommie Kelly and Richard Seymour. Now THAT is a trial by fire.

The fact that Denarius Moore has come in and shone right away is a testament to his "God Given" ability. I would think that most young receivers would still be getting their legs under them by week three of camp, not moving into the starting line-up.

So, Nation, let's watch DVD, Chimdi, Denarius, Sterling, Wiz, Barksdale, Ausberry and LaMaak get after it today, while keeping our expectations grounded in reality.
