Game Ball of the Week: Here's a Hint, It's Not the Defense

Denarius Moore thanks his deceased great, great, great third cousin after winning the Game Ball of the Week.

There is a bunch of players that deserve this...on the offense.

Darren McFadden had 143 yards combined rushing and receiving and 2 touchdowns. However, he had one costly fumble. So he's out. Derek Hagan was rock solid with 5 catches for 61 yards, but that is not game ball worthy.

The offensive line was very solid in pass protection, and had they had the ball more in the second half, I think the running numbers would have been bigger. They all deserve a fat shout out. Especially Khalif Barnes. I, and many others here, were ripping the hell out of this guy. He has been a pleasant surprise.

The lack of run game dominance rules out the O-line for a game ball though. That leaves us with two.

Jason Campbell was 23/33 for 323 yards with 2 touchdowns, and an INT off a last second heave. And he did this without his top three receivers or his starting tight end. I think it was his finest performance as a Raider. It was definitely the best I have seen him throw the deep ball. But he isn't going to win either.

That honor goes to Denarius Moore. I've already been doing plenty of gushing about Moore. He was fantastic, and given the fact that it was his first real chance to play in an NFL game, there is no other choice for this award than "Smooth."
