Undeniable Truth of the Week
Now that your league is probably either in their last week of the regular season or the first week of the playoffs its a good time to rummage through the free agents list and see who might be available. Hopefully you already are happy with your team at this point anyway, but you might be surprised at who is now available.
Many times at the end of the year teams in your league are making drastic roster changes just to change things up in hopes of winning. Due to these desperate moves their just might be somebody available who could help your team.
The other part of going through the available players though is to keep your opponents from getting somebody who could help them. If you have a player on your team that isn't going to help anybody and you see somebody decent available, pick them up even if you have no intention of playing them.
It is important to be one step ahead of everybody else if possible in fantasy football and staying up to date on waiver wires and available talent is one of the ways you can do that. In all likelihood you probably already have a team that you trust though if your making it into the playoffs. Even so, it's always good to do your research.

Great Match-ups of the Week
Denver at Oakland: There should be no surprise that Peyton Manning is projected to be the highest scoring player this week in fantasy football. The Raiders defense is not good and Peyton makes good defenses appear bad so if you have a Denver player they are probably worth starting. The other part of this is that even with the Denver defense being good the Raiders players also have a strong chance of putting up good numbers. Either they will have to score enough to keep up with Denver or they will probably score in garbage time after Denver has routed them.

New Orleans at NY Giants: This game definitely could be a fun one to watch. The Giants just got their seasons series swept by the Redskins and are going to be angry. The Saints are barely, if at all, alive for the playoffs and will need to play all world to keep their slimmest of playoff hopes alive. There is the chance for any player on your roster for either team to do well in this game. I expect this to be a very high scoring affair.

Detroit at Green Bay: There is no love whatsoever between these two divisional rivals. They simply do not like each other. Detroit's season is just as lost as the Raiders season is even with their immensely talented offense. That offense plans to be on full display Sunday Night in prime time. Since they are already dead in the water it leaves this game against a bitter rival as a game they desperately want. The Packers offense always puts up points with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. I expect both quarterbacks in this game to throw for over 300 yards and maybe even 400.

Worst Match-ups of the Week
Houston at New England: This match-up is an interesting one with both teams offenses being able to play well at any time. Tom Brady had an un-Tom Brady like game last week and now has to play one of the best defenses in the league. Bill Belichek knows how good this Houston offense is and will have spent a lot of time working his defensive schemes in this game as well. Most players that you have in this game are already must starts but don't be surprised if they don't score as much as they usually do.

Chicago at Minnesota: Basically the only worthy starts in this game are Adrian Peterson, Kyle Rudolph, Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall, and the Chicago defense. Some would add Percy Harvin into that as well if he plays, but I don't think that he will line up against this bruising defense. The Bears offense outside of Marshall is not very good. Matt Forte has had an up and down season but remains in most line ups due to his potential each week. Avoid playing anybody else in this game.

Arizona at Seattle: This is another divisional rivalry and it features two tough defenses. The Cardinals have nobody worth starting outside of Fitzgerald and maybe Beanie Wells and their defense. The Seahawks have nobody worth starting outside of their defense. Russell Wilson doesn't get enough stats to be a worthy fantasy starter. Golden Tate and Sidney Rice are maybes depending on who else you have on your roster. This game probably will not be a high scoring blockbuster, although stranger things have happened.
