Week 14 NFL game picks

New, comments

It's Thursday so that means it's time to pick some games. This week it's a special Thursday and the Raiders face off against the Broncos on Thursday Night Football.

Jim Brown-US PRESSWIRE

Before we get to this week's picks, let's review last week's. The Silver & Black Pride staff had a pretty good run of correct consensus picks. That run ended this week with a 4-4 record. We all correctly picked the Falcons, Patriots, Packers, and Texans but we all missed on the 49ers, Panthers, Ravens, and Giants.

With the Raiders playing the lowly Browns last week, we were split on who would win. The records this week were pretty close and most of the better records were due to correctly picking the Raiders would fall at home to the Browns.

I'm back on top again, baby. With a week 13 best 10-6 record, I have moved into sole possession of the top spot in the ranking. RaiderWay had the top spot in a tie for the overall record but with myself and S.O.B. going 10-6, he fell to third. That's how tight the race is right now. Well, except for Adam who went for the upset picks this week and paid dearly. His 5-11 record puts him well behind the herd.

This week we all agree the Broncos will handle the Raiders. Peyton Manning versus the worst defense in the NFL (31.3 points per game) doesn't make that much of a stretch. Other consensus picks are the Browns (never thought I'd see that), Colts, Buccaneers, Falcons, Steelers, 49ers, Seahawks, and Giants.

As per usual, Rhynno is going against the grain on a couple of his picks. He is the only one to have the Lions over the Packers and the Texans over the Patriots.

Good luck fellas.
