Silver And Black Pride Presents: New Front Page Leader: Levi Damien

New, comments

I am extremely excited to announce that Levi Damien will be manning the day to day duties here at Silver and Black Pride that were previously handled by Rich Langford.

I feel blessed to have been able to reach out and get the exact person I was looking for. I will still be contributing, but, am overcome with other duties, so I am entrusting the day to day running of this site to LDizzle!

Most of you already read Levi's work on "Thoughts From The Dark Side" where he has brought his thoughts and views from the press room to his readers since 2008. He is credentialed and does an awesome job of NOT joining the crowd and bringing his opinion to his audience.

I had the pleasure of meeting Levi at Raider training camp last year and he instantly took me under his wing and showed me the ropes, or more accurately the red box on the sidelines where the press stand.

So, without further ado, please join me in welcoming Levi Damien to Silver and Black Pride! Here are a few words from the man himself:

Hey everyone, I am very excited to join Silver and Black Pride and SB Nation. I love the format of the site, vision of the network and the passion Raymond "Saint" St. Martin has built on the site.

Some of you may be familiar with my work as I have been covering Oakland Raiders football since early 2008 for the site Thoughts From the Dark Side. I look forward to breaking down the Raiders the way I have always done and giving everyone the inside look at the Raiders from the press conferences at Raider HQ to the sideline at training camp to the press box at the game. But until then, there is always plenty to dissect, rant, rave, and generally go apesh*t about with regards to the team over which we all obsess.

A little about myself: I originally hail from the fine state of dementia Oregon where I have followed the Raiders since the early 80's. Because prior to that I was learning to eat solid foods and other basic motor skills. I joined the US Navy right out of high school and was relocated to Charger country in San Diego. After the service, I made my home in the East Bay during the Gruden years and surviving their 2002 Super Bowl appearance (barely). I earned my BA from San Francisco State University. I also am unabashed in my love for my hometown Portland Trail Blazers (Rip City) and home state Oregon Ducks (ONLY ever Pac-12 champions and Rose Bowl Champions). Gotta represent.

Now, in the immortal words of the great Tone-Loc, "Let's do it."
