It's time. Time for the mock draft. Typically, it is well past time for my first mock draft. Usually there would be an early round one version followed by several updated versions. But with the Raiders not picking until the final selection of the third round, it didn't really seem worth it to put together an early prediction we all know would change drastically after roster additions and subtractions by the 94 teams ahead of the Raiders.
Even the pick the Raiders would receive has changed. Early in the process, the Raiders were at the #96 spot. But then the whole Bounty scandal hit in New Orleans. The ensuing punishment was the Saints having their round two selection stripped from them. In turn, the Raiders pick moved up to #95.
But with just two weeks until the draft and all the big name free agents either staying put or moving on, there is no time like the present to get started.
