The Raiders have scheduled an April visit with East Carolina University OT Steven Baker, according to reports. He definitely has the size at 6-8, 310 pounds but he doesn't have a great resume.
Baker played mostly defensive line in high school. He began playing on both sides of the line as a senior and it gained the attention of Skip Holtz. He was brought to East Carolina as an offensive tackle but couldn't break into the starting lineup his first three seasons.
He did start at right tackle for the Pirates his entire senior season and showed some flashes of potential which is what has the Raiders giving this way under the radar offensive lineman a closer look. He is projected as un undrafted free agent.
There isn't a whole lot to go on with regard to Steven Baker with just the one year of college starting experience. If the Raiders were to sign him, it would be as depth at the right tackle spot.
