The Raiders head into rookie mini camps Friday. And they are bringing in several new players in the hours leading up to it-some undrafted free agents and some on a tryout basis.
The two undrafted free agents reported today are Middle Tennessee State running back DD Kyles (according to Adam Sparks of the Daily News Journal) and Temple safety Kevin Kroboth per Kroboth's agent.
Kyles will be on a tryout basis only and is not guaranteed a spot on the roster heading into camps.
Kroboth had originally agreed to terms with the Philadelphia Eagles but for some reason the deal fell through. Then the Raiders stepped in and Kroboth signed with them instead. He will be valuable depth at strong safety for the Raiders heading into OTA's and minicamps.
Two other free agent NFL players will try out for the team during rookie mini camps-- both former Jacksonville Jaguars. Offensive tackle Kevin Haslam and tight end Joey Hanos.
Haslam is a former undrafted free agent out of Rutgers who was waived by the Jags last March. Haynos is a 6-8, 270 pound blocking tight end who was out of football all of last season.
There will likely be more additions and I will update this as those signings are reported.
