Raiders sign UDFA LB Kilgore to training camp contract

New, comments

The Raiders have announced they have signed undrafted free agents wide receiver Dre Muhammad and LB Chad Kilgore. The Muhammad signing was reported yesterday. Kilgore signing was rumored but I was unable to confirm it. He joins a linebacking corps that could use the extra bodies for training camp as well as some healthy competition.

Kilgore was a two-time Division II All-America selection at Northwest Missouri State. A 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker, Kilgore posted 2.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss as a senior. As a Junior, he recorded 131 tackles which hwas the second highest tackle total in the nation. He was named Second team All-American and was named the team's Most Valuable Defensive Player of the Year.

The four year linebacker played inside linebacker for the Beacats and translates as an outside or inside linebacker in the NFL.

He joins another former Northwest Missouri State grad on the Raiders-linebacker Dave Tollefson.

The Raiders are now at 89 players heading into camp with 90 players allowed, leaving one remaining roster spot.
