Raiders safety, Michael Huff returned to practice today after missing the team's second preseason game last Friday. He didn't make the trip to Arizona because he was busy welcoming his first child into the world. And he has spent the past weekend with his new daughter.

Her name is Madeline Rae Huff and her birthday was not a coincidence according to her papa.

"She was 6(pounds), 2(ounces)." Said Huff daddy. "She was born on 4:24. That's a great number, the 24. I make sure I pulled her right out at 24. I was looking at the clock."

"I got about four hours (sleep) the past two days. It's all worth it though."

But now it's time to work. Which also, ironically, means that he will get more sleep than he was getting on baby watch.

"(laughs) [My wife] didn't like that, but I gotta work."

If this were the regular season, work would have likely taken even more precedence so the planning he and his wife did to have the child in the preseason was smart thinking.

Welcome to the world, Madeline Rae. And welcome to the Raider Nation.
