NY Giants vs Panthers Thursday Night game open thread

Yeah, yeah, the Raiders aren't playing tonight. But I know all you fools wanna banter about the game with your fellow Raider fans. So I figured I would give you a designated place to do it.

There will be at least one former Raider getting significant playing time in this game. Louis Murphy who was traded to the Panthers for a round seven pick has caught three passes for 63 yards for the Panthers. Of course 51 of those yards came on one reception but still , that's a 21 yard per catch average.

The Raiders also traded offensive lineman Bruce Campbell to the Panthers in exchange for running back Mike Goodson. However, like in his Oakland days, Campbell has yet to be activated. We'll see if that changes tonight but I doubt it.

The two quarterbacks on these offenses have given us much to talk about.

Cam Newton has been the popular model with whom Raider fans compare Terrelle Pryor. Well, at least those who are easily confused by the difference between a player's physical makeup and his physical abilities, skills, and playing style.

Eli Manning was shut down by the Cowboys in the first week and then threw three interceptions last week against the Buccaneers but still managed to come back to win it with three touchdown passes.
