Raiders announce reserve/future signings

The Raiders have announced the signing of six players to reserve/future contracts.

The Raiders have locked in six players from their practice squad to remain with the team this offseason. Those players are OG Jason Foster, LB Jerrell Harris, DB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, WR Travionte Session, TE Mickey Shuler and T Jason Slowey.

Foster was signed to Oakland's practice squad on Oct. 31. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman originally signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Rhode Island in 2012.

Harris, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound linebacker, was signed to the Raiders' practice squad on Nov. 28. Harris originally signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Alabama in 2012, and spent time on the practice squad with both Jacksonville and New England before joining the Raiders.

Owusu-Ansah was initially signed to the Raiders' practice squad on Sept. 19, was later cut and then re-signed to the practice squad on Dec. 10. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound defensive back played in 10 games with the Dallas Cowboys from 2010-11 mostly seeing action as a return man.. He was originally selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round (126th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Session signed with the Raiders as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Nevada in 2012. He didn't make the opening roster and was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 1.

Shuler was signed to Oakland's practice squad on Oct. 16. The 6-foot-4, 251-pound tight end played in six games with the Miami Dolphins in 2010, totaling two receptions for 44 yards. Shuler came into the league as a seventh-round draft pick (214th overall) by the Vikings out of Penn State.

Slowey joined the practice squad on Oct. 23 after spending training camp with the San Francisco 49ers. He was originally selected by the 49ers in the sixth round (199th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Western Oregon.
