The Raiders had their first post bye week practice Monday as they prep for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Thus far the prognosis on the offensive line is not good.
The team has several starters and key players along the offensive line who are injured. Those players Jared Veldheer, Stefen Wisniewski, Menelik Watson, Tony Pashos, and Andre Gurode. They had hoped to have many of them back this week but as of Monday none are back practicing with the team.
Veldheer is not eligible to return yet as his stint on partial season injured reserve isn't up until next week. Wisniewski appears to be the closest to returning. According to media present at practice, he was running along the side at practice and looks close to returning.
Playing with the first team offensive line was again right tackle Matt McCants, right guard Lamar Mady, and center Mike Brisiel. They were joined by left tackle Khalif Barnes and left guard Lucas Nix.
The team made a move to get some insurance by re-signing guard Jason Foster to the practice squad
After Monday, the team will not practice Tuesday and be back on their regular practice schedule as of Wednesday. There will not be an injury report released until then.
