The best news possible for the Raiders this week was the return of starting center Stefen Wisniewski. He was at practice today and according to Dennis Allen, looks to a go against the Steelers Sunday.
"I felt like he moved around good," said Allen. "All signs are that he's gonna be ready to go."
The center position is key in any offense, but more so with a young quarterback like Terrelle Pryor who needs to work with the center who knows the Raiders offense the best and who he developed chemistry with over the first four games of the season.
"I think that's huge," said Allen. "I think what he means to our offensive line, the type of player he is, his intelligence level. It helps us with a lot of the communication. Not only in protection and schemes but also in the run game, so I think having him back out there is a big boost for us."
"Communication is gonna be critical against this defense in making sure that we can identify where the rushers are coming from. Wiz has done a great job at that for us all year long and so it's good to have him back out there."
