The Oakland Raiders announced Wednesday that they have claimed LB Martez Wilson via waivers from the New Orleans Saints.

The 2011 third round pick out of Illinois appeared in 33 games for the Saints, with one start over the past three seasons. Wilson has totaled 30 tackles (21 solo), five sacks, two passes defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in his career. He has appeared in four games this season, posting four tackles and one sack. He is primarily a special teams ace.

In 2012, Wilson appeared in all 16 games mostly on special teams but also played some defensive end. He posted 18 tackles (12 solo), three sacks and also added a blocked punt. In his rookie campaign, the 2011 third-round pick played in 13 games and helped New Orleans reach the Divisional round of the playoffs.

To make room on the Raiders have waived DT Christo Bilukidi. The team's 2012 sixth round pick appeared in 18 games over the past two seasons and totaled 13 combined tackles over that time.
