Immediately upon Buccaneers release of quarterback Josh Freeman, the connections to the Raiders were made. After all, Freeman had his best seasons in Tampa while Raiders offensive coordinator, Greg Olson, was the OC for the Buccaneers. Now today, reports have surfaced that the Raiders are very much interested in signing Freeman. This according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
The Oakland Raiders have a definite interest in Josh Freeman. Moving slowly. Cant make mistake on another QB. #mattflynn #jamarcusrussell.

He went on to say a decision could be made as early as Sunday following the day's schedule of games.
Plan for Freeman has been to wait until after Sunday's games before making any decisions. Teams careful not to reveal interest.

To do anything following the games for the Raiders would mean Monday because their game on Sunday is likely not to complete until nearly midnight or perhaps later.
Greg Olson said this week following Freeman's release that he is a fan of his former quarterback.
"I've always been a fan of Josh's," said Olson. "I have a lot of respect for him as a person and a player. It was unfortunate for me to watch what happened in Tampa here, really, over the last couple years. He's a great player."
Freeman responded by showing some love to Olson as well as the Raider Nation.
We just recieved this text from Josh Freeman: "Raider Nation is great. I've worked with Greg Olson & he is a great coordinator."
