Last week was a pretty bad week for NFL picks. It was so bad, Deadspin even did an entire article detailing how poorly each of the national analysts did with their picks for the week. Not helping things was BOTH of the NFL's two remaining winless teams got their first win this weekend.
Some of us did worse than others. I did not have a good week and therefore for the first time since week 3, I have fallen out of even a tie for first place. Only two of our prognosticators were above .500 in their picks. One of whom was Marcus (8-6) who now holds sole possession of the top spot. I can say now that he is clearly cheating.
The other above 8-6 record for the week was Asher, although there was such a chasm between the third and fourth spot in the rankings, he wasn't able to move up.
There were only four consensus picks last week and we were 2-2 in those games. Marcus got his record by being the only one to pick the Rams and Panthers to win and Asher got his in part by being the only one to pick the Vikings to win.
This week there are just six consensus picks so it should be another good week of shuffling in the rankings. Those consensus picks are the Colts, Bengals, Eagles, Lions, Cardinals, and Seahawks.
Marcus is again going for descent by being the only one to pick the Raiders (unless RDreamer does as well), 49ers, and Packers. We'll see if it works in his favor again or if it backfires on him.
