Week 12 NFL game picks: Playoff picture begins to clear

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

Those teams looking at the playoffs and those preparing for the draft is heating up now, but there are still many teams who are in the middle. They may not be giving up hope on the playoffs just yet but now's when hopes begin to be dashed for many and draft talk begins.

Here at S&BP the staff keeps changing leaders. This week it's another change at the top with SOB taking sole possession of the best ranking for the first time since week 3. Marcus had ahold of the top spot by a couple games but his 8-7 mark last week compared to SOB's wee 11 best 11-4 record dropped him firmly into second. Being the only one to incorrectly pick the 49ers and Packers to win sealed his fate.

My 10-5 mark kept me in third but moved me closer to creeping back to the top. I did it by being the only one to correctly pick the Bills over the Jets. Jeff pulled out a 10-5 mark as well with the help of being the only one to correctly pick the Dolphins over the Chargers.

There were seven consensus picks last week and we came in the a 6-1 mark in those games.

There are again seven consensus picks this week. Those games winners are the Saints, Raiders*, Lions, Chiefs, Ravens, Texans, and 49ers.
