NFL early games Open Thread

While we wait for our Oakland Raiders to take the field there are some other games being played all across the country. Since we all are big football fans there is a good chance we are killing time by watching these other games play out and therefore we might as well chat about them together!

The biggest game as far as the Raiders are concerned for the early games is the game between the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins. The Raiders are not yet mathematically eliminated, even though essentially they are dead in the water, and the only game going early that can eliminate them officially is that one.

If Miami wins then the Raiders mathematically will be officially eliminated, but if Miami loses then the Raiders will still technically be alive for their match-up today against the Kansas City Chiefs. Even if Oakland would need an absolute miracle for whether they are officially eliminated or not to matter it would still be nice to play one last rivalry game this year before they are claimed by the football grim reaper.
