After another two weeks out with an ankle injury, Darren McFadden is back at practice according to media present at Raiders practice Wednesday. McFadden has missed much of this season with injury. First it was a hamstring strain, then a re-injury of the hamstring, then the ankle injury.

He returned from the hamstring injury for the Raiders' week 13 game in Dallas and after just five carries, he was lost to a new injury. With his contract up after this season, the question became whether he would ever suit up for the Raiders again.

Monday, Dennis Allen said he had spoken with the head trainer, H. Rod Martin, who gave McFadden the go-ahead to practice and Allen expected him to be at practice Wednesday.

It remains to be seen if McFadden will play this week versus the Chargers but even healthy he is not expected to see the field much. Rashad Jennings is expected to keep his starting job with Marcel Reece earning touches as well. Taiwan Jones continued to see time at running back even with McFadden back practicing.
